Infant Care
Our Infant Care program provides a warm and nurturing environment where babies feel safe, loved, and secure. Our dedicated caregivers focus on gentle interactions, sensory play, and fostering early social development, ensuring that each baby receives individual attention and support.
Toddler Program

Iowa Quality for Kids (IQ4K®) is Iowa’s new Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS) for Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) licensed Child Care Centers and preschools, registered Child Development Homes and programs operating under the authority of an accredited school district or nonpublic school. IQ4K® provides five levels of quality (building blocks) that programs can achieve and continue to improve on. By implementing Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), IQ4K® allows programs to assess their current grade across all areas of programming and devise a structured plan to increase the overall level of program quality.
Many kids struggle with behavior in childcare. When you react only with punishment, students don’t learn the skills they need to improve. That’s where positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS) comes in.

PBIS is a proactive approach Shining Stars use to improve school safety and promote positive behavior. The focus of PBIS is prevention, not punishment.
​
With PBIS, we teach students positive behavior strategies, just as they would teach about any other subject.
​
PBIS recognizes that students can only meet behavior expectations if they know what the expectations are. Everyone learns what’s considered appropriate behavior. And they use a common language to talk about it.
